Lead Adult Care Workers and Lead Personal Assistants provide guidance, support and leadership to enable the provision of a high standard of care and support. 

The lead role requires you to be supportive, confident and innovative in your working practices.

In this course you will learn about the main personal attributes and behaviours expected of all Lead Adult Care Workers; including how these differ from those of an adult care worker. 

You will also find out about how the lead role involves supporting the recruitment and induction of new staff as well as the development of adult care workers.

You will have an opportunity to explore how you can promote good care practices while maintaining a positive approach and building your own and others’ resilience. 

The importance of seeking information, help and advice when you have concerns or in different types of situations and will also feature in this course .

Finally, you will learn to demonstrate the ability to lead, support and mentor colleagues to practise effectively by modelling good practice, showing initiative and using research to inform working practices.
