Overview 

The Highfield Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care is a qualification for care assistants and support workers, that is recognised and regulated by Ofqual and CCEA Regulation.  

The objective of this qualification is to prepare learners to progress to a qualification in the same subject area but at a higher level or requiring more specific knowledge, skills and understanding. It is aimed at those working in, or preparing to work in adult social care and aims to introduce knowledge only around areas relating to adult social care.

This qualification is available to learners in England and Northern Ireland. 

This qualification is aimed at individuals who are working in, or who aspire to work in, adult social care.  

How long will it take?

The Total qualification time (TQT)  of 210 includes time for learning and assessments. 

Learners are expected to organise and plan their time according to how quickly they intend to complete to complete the qualification.

Assessment method

This qualification can be assessed by a portfolio of evidence that includes multiple-choice questions and assignment essays.
